Ralph Miracle papers, 1974-1978.

Ralph Miracle (b. 1904), was a Helena, Montana, area rancher and amateur historian. Papers (1874-1878) include correspondence with his brother-in-law James Dion concerning family and about Miracle's research projects; and copies of Miracle's writings. Also includes list of people reported to be at Rocky Point in the 1880s-1890s. Ralph Miracle was born in Helena, Montana, on December 6, 1904, the son of Frank D. and Lillian Miracle. Frank Miracle was an attorney and partner in the Miracle-VanCleve Company, at Canyon Creek northwest of Helena. Ralph studied at Harvard Military School in Los Angeles, and Dartmouth College, graduating about 1926. For the next 20 years he operated several ranches in Lewis and Clark and Cascade Counties.
